Kath and Karen visiting the Czech Republic
3rd - 6th of October 2008

Soon after arriving in Prague Airport - we went sightseeing

Fabulous buildings to look at all over Prague

Most shops had hanging signs depicting what they had on offer

Soldier ready for action with bayonet fixed!

A new feature in Prague
but we couldn't get close enough to see what it was!

Sunny but very cold -
the gold leaf on this monument shone beautifully

This picture taken from the Charles Bridge over the Vltava.
The river is very large and navigation is allowed only
through the barrier you can see in the middle of it.

The largest (widest) bridge in Prague
with many entertaining performers

This is a decorated cover over scaffolding
whilst the building behind is being renovated!

Karen outside the Museum of Torture!

Horse Drawn Carriages for sight seeing

Lada Krejčová (the competition organiser) and Kateřina (translator)
on the tram deciding the best route onwards

A street in Central Prague

Very elaboratly decorated Concrete!

Prague Castle (Pražský hrad) is where the Czech kings,
Holy Roman Emperors and presidents had their offices.
The Czech Crown Jewels are kept here.
Prague Castle is one of the biggest castles (slots!) in the world

An amazing view of Prague from the Castle

More entertainers - outside the castle

The old water wheel working on a branch of the Vltava River, in Prague.
It's used to power a mill inside the adjacent house.

The competitors and their dogs are introduced to
the spectators at the beginning of the day.

A demonstration of Freestyle before the Freestyle Class

Trophies for the day and trophies for the "End of Year Results"

All competitors and dogs are invited into the arena for the prize giving.
They are all given lots of gifts for taking part!
This photo was taken BEFORE the prizes were presented!
The Competition photographer!
Hopefully she will send some of the Competitors in action!
