The Top Lodge entertaining at the Wellow May Festival
26th of May 2008

The village of Wellow has retained a lovely green surrounded by interesting 17th and 18th century cottages, two pubs and a parish church dating back to the 12th century.
The village's uniqueness comes form the 60 ft high maypole in the centre of the villages green. This is one of only three permanent maypoles in England. Normally made of timber, Wellow's maypole is made of metal for increased durability. Wellow's May festival is an event not to be missed! Read more here!
