By the time Robbie was 6 years old I knew I had to have another Beardie as, by this time, I had fallen for this breed hook, line and sinker!
I contacted the lady who had Robbie's sister, Chokki as I knew she had already bred a litter from her and placed my order, so in August 2001 Angus was born.

We were still just dabbling in Heelwork to Music at this time, my main sport being Working Trials and Angus proved to be a fast learner and a natural track and search dog, taking only five trials to gain his CDEx and UDEx, but by then, as with Robbie, the Heelwork to Music was starting to take over.
Unlike his Uncle Robbie, Angus was not a natural show off and at first he found the large ring a bit daunting so we concentrated on fun routines and in time his confidence built and he started to enjoy the limelight a little more.

'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day' performed at the first show run by Canine Freestyle GB
With his first routine, “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday” Angus invented his spectacular leaps move, at the part where the song says “Let the bells ring out for Christmas” I mimed the pulling on a bell rope and Angus reacted with a leap into the air, so from then onward this move has been known as “bells”!
Here are a few reminders of his past routines;

This routine qualified us for Crufts, but we had to make a quick exit due to a tummy problem!
I think we hold the record for the fastest exit from a Crufts ring!

By now I thought we would have a go at Heelwork To Music as all the other routines were Freestyle.
Here is our first attempt Colonel Hathi's March.

So far 2007 has proved to be a year with highs and lows.
A high spot was winning the Crufts semi final at Rugby DTC Show, then winning the Freestyle Competition at Crufts and then winning the International freestyle Competition at Crufts as well. This more than made up for our very hasty exit the previous year!

Plus these wins made Angus the first dog to gain the new Kennel Club Awards letters FSA Ex after his name (Freestyle Advanced Excellent).
Then came a low, losing my lovely Robbie.
Another “high” was the arrival of Hamish, just a week after loosing Robbie.

Another high, our second attempt at a Heelwork routine was a winner!

Yet another high was being invited to perform a Heelwork To Music display in Belfast at the Northern Ireland International Horse Show.

So, who knows what 2008 has in store?
